The Art of Starting Over

Engineering, music, sales, Web3. On changing fields, and what carries across.

From the outside, my path looks like a series of restarts. Business Administration and Software Engineering. Then music production in Barcelona and keyboard technology in Los Angeles. Then years as a DJ. Then luxury car sales in Miami. Then NFTs, software and companies.

Starting over is usually described as a loss: you leave something behind, and the years you spent on it seem to vanish. That has not been my experience.

Music gave me an obsession with detail. Sales taught me the psychology of people: how they decide, what they want, what makes them trust. The engineering I studied years earlier came back the moment I started building products.

You never start from zero. You start from everything you have already done.

The hard part is not learning the new skill. It is agreeing to be a beginner again, in public, with people watching.
